Ride analyzer
Drop a .fit with power and you get the power curve for that ride, normalized power, whatever intervals it can find, time in zone and heart rate drift. Runs in the browser, nothing gets uploaded.
These are my own workouts with the GPS, the elevation, the real dates and the watch's serial number stripped out of them, so what is left is the power, the heart rate and the cadence, which is the part any of these tools reads anyway.
Where do I get one of these?
- Open the activity on strava.com - this only exists on the website, the phone app will not do it.
- Hit the three dots at the top right of the activity, then Export Original.
- Export Original is the one you want, since it is the file your head unit wrote. Export GPX also carries power from a real power meter, along with heart rate and cadence, and only drops the power Strava estimates for you.
- If you would rather skip the clicking, strava.com/activities/<id>/export_original downloads it directly.
Zwift already wrote the file to your machine before it ever reached Strava - look in Documents/Zwift/Activities, and the newest one is your last ride. Garmin Connect has the same thing under the gear icon on an activity, also called Export Original. Straight off the head unit works too if you can be bothered plugging it in, which I usually cannot.
Whatever you upload stays in this tab. There is no server here to send it to.
