FTP estimator

Drop a ride with power in it and we run the two protocols most people use, best twenty minutes times 0.95 and best minute times 0.75, and show you both. On a normal ride the twenty minute one is more of a floor than an answer, since you probably weren't emptying the tank for exactly twenty minutes. Runs in the browser, nothing gets uploaded.

OR TRY IT ON A REAL FILE

These are my own workouts with the GPS, the elevation, the real dates and the watch's serial number stripped out of them, so what is left is the power, the heart rate and the cadence, which is the part any of these tools reads anyway.

Where do I get one of these?
FROM STRAVA
  1. Open the activity on strava.com - this only exists on the website, the phone app will not do it.
  2. Hit the three dots at the top right of the activity, then Export Original.
  3. Export Original is the one you want, since it is the file your head unit wrote. Export GPX also carries power from a real power meter, along with heart rate and cadence, and only drops the power Strava estimates for you.
  4. If you would rather skip the clicking, strava.com/activities/<id>/export_original downloads it directly.
OR SKIP STRAVA ENTIRELY

Zwift already wrote the file to your machine before it ever reached Strava - look in Documents/Zwift/Activities, and the newest one is your last ride. Garmin Connect has the same thing under the gear icon on an activity, also called Export Original. Straight off the head unit works too if you can be bothered plugging it in, which I usually cannot.

Whatever you upload stays in this tab. There is no server here to send it to.

Why this shows you two answers instead of one

FTP gets defined four or five different ways and they mostly agree, but the 0.95 and the 0.75 are population fudge factors so on you personally they can be ten or twenty watts apart, and as far as I can tell the ramp flatters punchy riders and the twenty minute test punishes bad pacing. I'd just pick one protocol and one power source and keep using them so the trend means something, my Kickr Core and my pedals disagree by about 3% which is enough to hide two months of progress.

CORSAI.APPThis is an estimate, so treat it as a workout setting and bias it up or down as needed.
